OVEN BEEF STEW (WITH VEGETABLES) 
2 c. chopped onions
1 lb. beef chuck, cut in 1 inch cubes (venison can be used also)
1/4 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 beef bouillon cube
1 c. boiling water
4 lg. potatoes, peeled and quartered lengthwise
4 lg. carrots, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
2 lg. ribs celery, cut in 1/2 inch pieces

Layer onions in shallow 3 quart baking dish or small roasting pan. Place beef in middle in single layer. Pour on soy sauce. Mix flour, paprika and pepper; sprinkle over meat. Dissolve bouillon cube in water. Pour over meat and onions. Cover pan with foil tightly. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Stir; add vegetables; cover and bake 1 more hour. Check doneness; bake an additional 15-30 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender. Yield: 4 servings.
