LEMON CHEESE COOKIES 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 pkg. Betty Crocker SuperMoist lemon cake mix
1 egg
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flaked coconut or chopped nuts (optional)

Heat oven to 375°F.

Beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add half of the cake mix gradually on low speed of mixer. Add egg and vanilla, beating on medium speed until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix and the coconut or nuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoons 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to cool completely on wire rack.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
