STRAWBERRY SHORT CUT CAKE 
1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. (2 - 10 oz.) frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Generously grease bottom only of 13"x9" baking pan; sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Thoroughly combine completely thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside.

In large mixer bowl combine remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in prepared pan. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
