MID'S MINTS 
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 medium egg white
1 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
Food coloring of choice
Flavoring of choice

Beat together butter and egg white. Add 1 pound sifted powdered sugar. Mid could only beat in a little over half and had to work in the rest by hand (like pie dough). Divide in 3 or 4 parts and add coloring and flavoring. Roll in strips the size of your thumb. Then slice in mint sizes. Let dry on waxed paper before packing in metal container.
