CATHY'S HOT SEAFOOD DIP | |
My grandmother made this for us as kids. If you love seafood you will love this. Even if you don't like seafood you will like this! 2 (8 oz. ea.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened 2 heaping tbsp. mayonnaise couple shakes Tabasco sauce 1/4 tsp. lemon juice 2 (8 oz. ea.) cans crab meat (you can also use fresh or the frozen snow crab legs) 10 to 20 medium shrimp (cooked, cleaned and cut into small pieces) 2 (8 oz. ea.) cans baby clams (if desired) grated Parmesan/Romano cheese paprika, for sprinkling Note: May substitute clams for lobster (I wish!) Preheat oven to 350°F Soften cream cheese. Once softened, add mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce, lemon juice and mix til creamy in oven safe bowl. Fold in crab meat, shrimp, clams or lobster (if using). When mixed add grated cheese over the top until you have about an inch thick coating. Finish by sprinkling with paprika. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until top is golden brown or you can see dip bubbling. Take out of oven and let stand a minute or two. Serve with crackers (Bugles are best) or whatever you feel like. Goes good for the holidays! Refrigerate any leftovers. Enjoy! Serves 24. Submitted by: Cathy |
