STUFFED PEPPERS
6 lg. bell peppers
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 lb. smoked sausage
1/3 c. green onions
2 tsp. parsley flakes
1 c. tomato paste
Grated American cheese
1 lb. ground chuck
1 lg. onion
1 1/2 lbs. shrimp
1 1/3 c. cooking oil
1 lb. rice
1 c. stewed tomatoes
Salt and pepper

Precook rice; prepare bell peppers for stuffing by removing the tops and placing them in a large boiler with a small amount of water. Cover and simmer for 7 minutes.

Combine ground chuck, chopped onions, garlic powder, chopped shrimp, sausage, cooking oil, parsley flakes, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes, salt and pepper in a large skillet (be sure sausage is cut into small pieces). Cook to desired degree of doneness, about 25 minutes, stirring constantly.

Combine cooked ingredients with rice in a large bowl. Stuff peppers and place on cooking sheet that has a small amount of oil in the bottom. Cook at 350 degrees for 2 minutes. Top with cheese and place back in oven until cheese melts completely.
