GERMAN COOKIE 
2 lb. flour (6 c.)
1/2 lb. sugar (1 1/2 c.)
1 lb. butter
9 eggs, boiled, put yolks through sieve
1 tbsp. lemon extract & rind

Mix all ingredients with hands. Knead and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into shapes. Brush a beaten egg yolk on top. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
