CABBAGE LASAGNA CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 med. cabbage, shredded
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 (18 oz.) can tomato paste
8 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Saute meat, onion and pepper. Boil cabbage until tender. Save 2 cups of liquid and drain off rest. Combine 2 cups liquid with the tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper and simmer 5 minutes. Add mixture and simmer 5 more minutes. (I usually just put everything in the meat skillet and mix at that point.) Layer: 1/2 meat mixture, cabbage and 1/2 meat; top with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees until cheese is browned 30 to 35 minutes.
