BUTTER CRACKERS 
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. chopped dates
Ritz crackers

Off brand crackers have larger hole and date mixture runs through and cookies tend to stick to the cookie sheet.

FROSTING:

3 oz. cream cheese
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 stick butter
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Cook 1 can sweetened condensed milk in double boiler until thick. Add the chopped dates. Spread mixture on Ritz crackers. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Keep mixture over hot water while spreading on crackers.

Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting: Mix together 3 oz. cream cheese, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 stick butter and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla. Frost the crackers. Let frosting set. These freeze well.
