DUTCH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. orange juice
4 eggs
5 or 6 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Mix apples, cinnamon, and 5 tablespoons sugar together until apples are well coated. Combine flour, sugar, oil, vanilla, baking powder, orange juice and eggs. Pour half of the batter into greased floured tube pan. Layer half of apples onto batter, then spread rest of batter on apples, layer other half of apples on top of batter.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes until golden brown. Cool 1 hour in pan before removing.
