APPLE DUMPLING | |
1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. lard or Crisco 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. cold water 1/2 tsp. baking powder 4 or 5 med. apples Roll crush almost as thin as for pie. Cut in six pieces, fill each with apple and tuck in. Drop into bake pan in which there is about 1 pint of water and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add 1 tablespoon butter and bring to boil and pour over apples. Bake in hot oven 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
