MARINATED CUCUMBERS 
1 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper
1 med. onions, peeled, sliced
2 cucumbers, peeled and sliced

Mix together in a quart jar the oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Then alternate the onions and cucumbers, adding a pinch of salt and pepper after each layer. When the jar is filled, cover with the top and shake. Refrigerate at least 12 hours before serving. They will hold their flavor and consistency 10 days to 2 weeks.
