1 1/2 lb. flank steak, partially frozen 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. liquid smoke 1/3 tsp. garlic powder 1/3 tsp. ground black pepper 1/3 tsp. monosodium glutamate 1 tsp. onion powder 1/4 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1. Slice flank steak in thick slices diagonally across the grain. 2. Combine seasoning mixture and brush on both sides of meat. Arrange meat slices on 2 (10"x15"x1") jelly roll pan or dehydrator. 3. Place in preheated very low 200 degree oven for 8 to 12 hours turning meat several times to dry out evenly. Or hang outside on string, away from animals, in cool, airy place to dry. 4. Store in plastic bags in refrigerator or freezer. |
