PEACH CONSERVE | |
Quarter and seed 5 oranges (don't pare). Peel and pit 18 peaches. Put both fruits through food processor. Chop coarsely. Measure fruit in to a large pan. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar for each cup of fruit. Cook rapidly until mixture sheets from spoon. Stir often. Add 1 cup chopped maraschino cherries. Pour into scalding hot glass. Seal at once with 1/2 inch melted paraffin. Makes 12 (6 ounce) glasses. |
