CHOCOLATE FILLED BON BON COOKIES 
3/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 1/2-4 dozen milk chocolate kisses
1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. very finely chopped pecans or ground, blanched almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream Crisco and sugars. Add egg and extract; beat. Blend flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Add to creamed mixture. Form 1" balls, press kiss in each one, covering. Bake about 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Do not over cook. Cool. 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
