RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts

Mix thoroughly the butter, sifted confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 1" balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet (cookies do not spread) at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Bake until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes 4 dozen.
