LAYERED CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground beef or venison
1/4 c. onion, sliced
1/2 c. green pepper, sliced
Potatoes, sliced
Carrots, sliced
Celery, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can tomato soup

Brown meat with 1/4 cup sliced onion and 1/2 cup sliced green pepper. Drain meat and put in bottom of a 3-quart casserole dish. Top with layer of sliced potatoes; layer of sliced carrots and layer of chopped celery. Mix together 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can tomato soup. Pour over casserole ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

My son had given me quite a bit of venison and I searched for different recipes. I cooked this late afternoon. I did not have a can of tomato soup. I used a can of diced tomatoes and I put the soup and the tomatoes in the blender and blended well before pouring on other ingredients. My granddaughter and great grandson were eating with us. I fried crispy cornbread to go with it. We all really enjoyed the meal. My husband even stated how good it is. Thanks. Sure will use this recipe again.
