BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. Bran Buds
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (oleo)
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. molasses
1 c. raisins
1 c. 40% Bran Flakes
2 c. buttermilk

Pour 1 cup boiling water on Bran Buds. Mix to moisten and set aside to cool.

Cream sugar and butter, then add eggs, flour, baking soda, salt, molasses, raisins, Bran Flakes and buttermilk. Mix well and add Bran to other ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes in greased muffin tins. Cover and store extra mix for weeks.
