PEANUT BRITTLE | |
Paraffin (1 inch square) 1/2 c. red Karo syrup 1 c. sugar 1 pt. raw peanuts 3/4 tsp. baking soda Melt paraffin in heavy boiler; add syrup, sugar and peanuts. Cook on high heat, stirring all the time. Cook 6 or 7 minutes. (Peanuts will look yellow when done.) Add soda. Pour on greased cookie sheet. Spread good and quickly. |
