SOUTHWEST STEW 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 1/2 c. diced onion
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped, with liquid
1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 c. picante sauce
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
Salt to taste
1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, rinsed & drained
Shredded cheddar cheese (opt.)

In skillet brown ground beef and onions, drain any excess fat. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer, covered for 15 to 20 minutes. Garnish with shredded cheese if desired.
