1 1/2 c. Wesson oil or Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 jar cherries, drained
3 med. size apples
1 c. pecans

Bake 1 hour 20 minutes at 325 degrees.

ICING:

1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. canned milk
1/2 jar cherries
1/2 c. nuts

Bring to a boil and spread on cake.
