MAPLE NUT POUND CAKE 
1 box brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
6 eggs
1 c. self-rising flour
2 c. plain flour
1 c. milk
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. maple flavoring

Cream sugars, shortening. Add eggs; then milk, flours, flavoring and nuts. Grease and flour tube pan. Pour batter in pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
