BLACK MAGIC CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. strong black coffee or 2 tsp. instant coffee in 1 c. boiling water
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil

To sour milk, use 1 tablespoon vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup.

Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large mixer bowl. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk or sour milk, oil and vanilla. Beat at a medium speed for 2 minutes. Batter will be thin. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9x13x2 inch pan or use two (9-inch) cake pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes for oblong pan or 30-35 minutes for layer pans. Frost with your favorite vanilla frosting or cream cheese frosting.
