BROWNIES FOR THE CROWD 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
8 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix all ingredients except nuts; then stir in nuts. Pour into 11 x 15 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 sq. bitter chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix chocolate and butter over hot water; add sugar and vanilla. Add enough hot water to spread; frost brownies. Cut when cool.

1 square chocolate = 3 tablespoons cocoa to 1/2 tablespoon shortening.
