OVEN BEEF STEW 
1 lg. onion
2 lbs. stew beef
1/4 c. soy sauce
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. paprika
3 tbsp. flour
1 can condensed beef broth
4 lg. potatoes, peeled & halved
4 lg. carrots, peeled & cut in chunks

Layer onions in shallow 3-quart baking dish. Arrange meat (do not brown) on top of onions and sprinkle with soy sauce. Mix next 4 ingredients together and sprinkle over meat. Add broth and cover tightly with foil. Bake 1 hour (oven at 350 degrees). Add vegetables and bake, covered, 1 hour more. Remove foil and bake 1/2 hour longer or until meat and vegetables are tender. Add more broth if necessary during last part of cooking.
