1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 3 fresh Roma tomatoes 1/2 c. cilantro 1 sm. onion 2 pods garlic 2 to 3 jalapenos (seeds removed) Juice of 2 limes Salt to taste 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. lemon pepper 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. onion salt 1 tbsp. oil Use food processor or chop by hand. Process onion, garlic, cilantro and jalapanos until extra fine. Add stewed tomatoes and fresh tomatoes and process fine. Mix in tomato sauce, juice of limes, oil and spices. Pour into quart jar and refrigerate overnight until flavors blend. Serve with tortilla chips or on fajitas. |
