CHOCOLATE LAYER CAKE 
4 eggs (separated) yolks
2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
2 2/3 c. self-rising flour
2 sticks butter, softened
4 egg whites, beaten stiff

Cream egg yolks, sugar, and butter. Add flour alternately with milk. Beat egg whites and fold in last. Makes 3 layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

2 sticks butter
1 sm. can milk (5 oz.)
2 c. sugar
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Bring to boil and boil 2 minutes, then add the chocolate chips and beat with beater another minute until chips dissolve. Spread on cool layers and sides.
