BASIC ANGEL ROLLS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm (105 to 115 degrees) water
2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water in a bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt in a large bowl.; make a well in center of mixture. Combine oil, buttermilk and yeast mixture; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moist. (Dough will be sticky.)

Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness on lightly floured surface; cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 16 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 2 dozen.
