OLD FASHIONED VINEGAR PIE 
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. boiling water
5 or 6 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. corn starch
1/4 c. cold water
1 baked pie shell (8 or 9 inches)

Mix the corn starch, sugar and salt together. Add the cold water then the slightly beaten egg yolks. Mix well, then add the boiling water. Cook until thickened. Put in pie shell. Add meringue and brown.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Dash of salt

Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar while gradually adding the sugar.
