1/3 c. white vinegar
1 2/3 c. hot water
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Mix vinegar, water, egg and flavoring. Stir in mixture of flour and sugar. Add butter; cook in double boiler until thick. Note you can use a meringue on top.
