ORANGE-GLAZED CARROTS AND ONIONS 
2 c. diagonally sliced carrots
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. each firmly packed brown sugar and softened whipped butter
1/4 tsp. cornstarch
1 c. frozen pearl onions
1/4 tsp. each cinnamon and grated orange peel
1/8 tsp. salt

In 1-quart microwaveable shallow casserole combine carrots and water; cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH (100%) for 4 minutes, until carrots are tender-crisp.

In cup or small bowl, combine sugar, butter and cornstarch; mix well to combine. Stir into carrot mixture. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.

Re-cover with vented plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes, until onions are heated through and mixture thickens. Makes 2 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
