CANNED APPLES 
12 lb. apples
3 lb. sugar

Peel and quarter apples (at night). Measure sugar and set aside. Use large pan or container and layer apples and sugar until used up. Stir several times. Let set all night. Next morning, pack apples in jars, fill with syrup and boil 30 minutes.

Makes 7 quarts.
