1 1/2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1 lg. bag chocolate chunks

Mix butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix well with mixer. Mix flour, soda, and salt and blend into creamed mixture. Add chocolate chunks. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from pan.
