WORKING MOM'S POT ROAST 
3-4 lb. pot roast
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Water
Pepper (if wanted)

Put roast in baking pan with leanest side up (any cut of beef is fine). Spread undiluted mushroom soup over roast. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the cream of mushroom soup. Pour approximately 1 1/2-2 cups water around (not over) roast and bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 2-3 hours or until tender.

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles. The gravy is in the pan! If using crockpot, reduce water and you might have to thicken the gravy.
