CHEESE STRATA 
8-10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
3/4 lb. grated American of Cheddar cheese
8 eggs
1 tsp. grated onion
Salt and pepper
3 1/2 c. milk
Italian bread, sliced thin, crusts removed

Place a layer of bread on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with bacon and cheese. Top with second layer of bread. Beat eggs. Add salt and pepper and onions. Add milk. Pour over bread. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
