YUM YUM SALAD 
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
3/4 c. sugar
2 pkg. (3 oz.) orange Jello
1 c. grated longhorn (cheddar) cheese
2 c. cold water
1 c. Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Bring pineapple and sugar to a boil; dissolve Jello in this hot mixture. Add cold water and mix well. Let stand until partially set. Add cheese, nuts, and finally the Cool Whip, folding in gently. Pour into 9x15 inch pan and let set until firm.
