1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Juice & rind of 1 orange

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 lump butter
Juice & rind of 1 orange

If oranges are small, use 3 oranges and divide rind and juice for cookies and icing.

Cream butter; add sugar and eggs. Alternate milk with mixture of flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add juice and grated rind of orange. Drop from teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven. Ice cookies when they are partly cooled.
