NO FAIL PRIME RIB 
Choice beef prime rib roast (about 1/2 lb. per person)
Seasoning as desired

Oven should be preheated to 375 degrees at least 1 hour ahead of time. Season roast as desired and let set at room temperature for at least 1 hour before cooking. For medium rare, cook at 375 degrees for 1 hour ONLY.

Turn off oven and leave roast in oven. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCEDURE. Roast can stand in oven for less than 2 hours, or for entire day.

45 minutes before serving, turn oven back to 375 degrees and cook for 40 minutes. If you want it cooked more than medium rare, increase cooking time now. Remove from oven; let stand 5-10 minutes; then carve.
