FRESH APPLE LOAF 
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. uncooked oats
1/4 c. bran or wheat germ
1 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. oil
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. finely chopped apple
1/3 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add honey, oil, milk and eggs. Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in apples, raisins and nuts. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan or 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester in center comes out clean. Allow 5 minutes extra if using loaf pans. Cool in pan. Turn onto wire rack.
