SWEET APPLE QUICK BREAD LOAF 
2 c. unsifted flour, spooned into cup
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 eggs
1 c. apples, peeled, cored & shredded or finely chopped (a food processor is great for this)
2 tbsp. grated orange peel (either fresh or dried)
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (or use Pam or Mazola No-Stick Spray) bottom of loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3 inches) or 2 half size pans.

In large bowl beat all ingredients except nuts at low speed until just combined. Beat 3 minutes at medium-low speed. Stir in nuts. Pour into loaf pan(s). Bake for 50-60 minutes or until done. Cool in pan(s) for 5-10 minutes. Remove and complete cooling. Is good with butter, cream cheese or just plain. Warm or cold.
