PECAN BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
About 1 c. pecan halves

Cream butter, gradually add sugar beating until fluffy. Add egg yolks one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in flavorings. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and beat well. roll dough in 1 inch balls. Place about 2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet place a pecan half in the center of each cookie. Bake at 300 degrees for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown.Cool on wire rack.

Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies. I use chopped pecans an mix into the batter. The dough handles better if allowed to chill.
