BUTTER PECAN COOKIES 
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. flour
1 c. pecans, chopped finely

Cream butter with sugar. Add well beaten egg, salt and vanilla, flour and chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoons 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. (Leave the room while they spread.) Bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Let cool for a few seconds (then if you want, loosen and curl around finger or shape into cone, while still soft enough to roll).
