CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 med. sweet potatoes
1/3 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar (light)
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook sweet potatoes in water to cover until tender. Drain. Cool, peel, and cut in half lengthwise. Arrange in buttered baking dish. Cover with melted butter.

Combine water and brown sugar in saucepan. Cook 5 minutes. Pour over sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, basting often.
