CANNED APPLE FILLING 
3 1/2 to 4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
1 to 2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. nutmeg, if desired
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water

Cook until thick, then add 3 tablespoons lemon juice. Then add desired amount of apples and put in jars and seal. Process for 20 minutes or more in hot water bath.
