ITALIAN BEEF (Sandwiches) 
1 (5 lb.) beef rump roast or eye of the round or pot roast

Sprinkle with garlic powder. Brown oil until seared. Place in crock pot.

In crock pot place: 3 c. boiling water 1/2 tsp. fennel seed 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tbsp. Worcestershire 1 tsp. each: dried marjoram, oregano, thyme Salt and pepper to taste Few drops of Tabasco

Simmer in crock pot 4 to 7 hours. Afterward slice thinly then place back in crock pot.

Serve on Italian bread or nice thick rolls with sauteed onions and green peppers. (May be made the day before then reheated.)
