LEMON ALMOND BREAD | |
1 egg, beaten 1 (8 oz.) ctn. plain yogurt 1 pkg. 1 layer size yellow cake mix 2 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel 1/2 c. chopped almonds Sliced almonds COCONUT CREAM CHEESE SPREAD 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese (softened) 1/2 c. honey 1/2 c. shredded coconut, (chopped & toasted) Milk In mixing bowl combine egg and yogurt. Add cake mix and lemon peel. Stir until combined. Stir in chopped almonds. Turn into one greased 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees 35 to 45 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack. Cool completely. Use Coconut Cream Cheese Spread for an extra treat. |
