APPLE CRISP 
4 apples, Jonathan or McIntosh
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Cinnamon
1 stick softened butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour

Slice apples as for a pie into 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with water, sugar, and cinnamon. Crumb the soft butter, brown sugar and flour and sprinkle over the apple mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Recipe can be doubled for 9 x 13 inch pan but use only 3/4 cup water.
