2 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon or lime Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 c. clear carbonated beverage
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. small marshmallows
2 lg. bananas, diced
Whipped Cream Topping

WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. pineapple juice, drained from above plus water to make 1 c.
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1 box Dream Whip or 1 c. cream, whipped

JELLO: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in carbonated beverage. Chill until partly set. Drain pineapple saving juice for topping. Fold pineapple, marshmallows, and bananas into gelatin. Pour into flat pan. Chill until firm. Add topping. Chill overnight.

TOPPING: Cook sugar, flour, pineapple juice, and egg over low heat until thick. Remove from heat and add butter. Let cool and chill. Fold in whipped topping. Spread on top of Jello.

Both the lemon and lime Jello are very good. The lime makes a prettier salad.
