LIFE'S BOURBON BALLS | |
2 1/2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed 1 1/4 c. pecans, coarsely chopped 2 tbsp. dark corn syrup 6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa 1/3 - 1/2 c. bourbon (can use brandy, rum, etc.) 1/2 c. confectioners sugar Combine crushed wafers, pecans, 2 tablespoons of the cocoa (reserve the rest for later) and corn syrup. Add enough bourbon (or booze of your choice) to make a firm dough. Roll into walnut size balls. Roll balls in the rest of the cocoa (4 tablespoons) sifted with the confectioners sugar. Store tightly covered for at last 24 hours to let balls ripen. Roll in more sifted cocoa and powdered sugar before serving, if preferred. |
