3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. quick cooking oats (not instant or old fashioned)
1 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. peeled, diced apples
3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. nuts

Grease baking sheets with butter flavor Crisco. Cream Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla at medium speed of electric mixer 1 1/2 minutes. Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Beat into creamed mixture at low speed until well blended or by hand with large spoon. Stir in fruit and nuts. Stir in oats. Bake at 375 degrees for 13 minutes. Cool 2 minutes. Remove from pan.
